World's Largest Floating Hotel Delays Opening!

Aquiva is supposed to be one of the most elegant and stylish yachts in the world and the world’s largest floating hotel. It was supposed to open in time for the London 2012 Olympics but unfortunately won’t be launched until the recession gets better.

People behind Aquiva - including Steve Tight revealed that although the luxury industry seems to be throbbing they are concerned that undercurrents of recession may affect them. They have decided to wait for the recession to pass completely.

Aquiva comes with 158 rooms and suites, an onboard ballroom, a spa, gym, pool, bars and several restaurants to entertain and regale guests. It also has the very handy business centre. It can seat 300 guests and will have seven decks. All plans are on hold and would be resumed when the global economy improves.

Aquiva’s floating hotel is supposed to be for the public, so the delay may be warranted. However, Richman’s Yachtotels, which are also floating luxury hotels, is for its members only and is going ahead as planned.
